What is the difference between a Quad Flipping vs a Quad Flopping down

What is the difference between a Quad Flipping vs a Quad Flopping down?

My Quad Flipped - somebody asked me if it Flipped or flopped down

Answer

Quads are considered to have Flipped when one or more motors speeds up to full power causing it to appear to rise slightly while flipping over very fast. Audio tracks reveal a strong rev-up sound. This is caused by Wrong engine connected to the engine sequence numbers - ie a left motor is swap with a right by mistake The IMU is being vibrated too much by motors/props/resonance and data spikes cause and error

Quads are considered to have Flopped when one motor(s) shuts down or a prop comes off and the quad appears to drop down/descend (on the video) immediately, as that side drops. Audio track reveals a reduction in overall noise - a cut off sound on one motor. However Flopping - motor/power failures can be caused by one or more of at least 15 different faults leading to power loss - see other Question here about "my Quad flipped"
