Perfect for Futaba 14SG and 18MZ owners - connects direct to SBus 2 port or SBus 2 port via a HUB - When connected to the 18MZ give voice audio altitudes - or 14SG with new firmware - see 14SG page this site

  • Sensor: altitude or rate of climb/descent. (selectable in the Tx menu of the 14SG or 18MZ)
  • Range: 500-1100hPA ;  162.4-16,000 feet (50-5000 meters)

Question I have a Futaba14SG a R7008SB Rx and a SBS-01A but I dont see any Telemetry data? Problem? the SBS-01A is not working or my 14SG is not getting ALTITUDE or VARIO? Why?

Answer from MultiWiicopter.com Pro-Pilot Quinton Marais =

  1. When you connect SBS-01A to your 14SG/R7008SB make sure you plug it to the SBus 2 horizontal/lower port
  2. You will see 2 Green LEDS - one on the Rx and one on the SBS-01A - If the Main Rx LED is RED the 14SG needs to set to 14Ch SBus 2 Telem -> PRESS  LINK/LINK SYSTEM ->set FaSSTest 14Ch Single. The Rx LED will turn from red to green
  3. Still on the LINKAGE SYSTEM PAGE- Right under that on line 2, if you see P--------- (serial number of Rx not being Received?) then you need to REBIND.  do the following
  4. Power down the Rx (very important)
  5. Connect the SBS-01A to SBus 2 - horizontal plug - keep the Rx off
  6. For home screen press LNK/LNK SYSTEM -> LINK on the Tx -> LINK will flash (it will bleep1-bleep2-bleep3) ; then
  7. Power up the Rx R7008SB (with SBS-01A connected already) with 5v - Wait 5-8 secs, and keep the Rx and Tx very close - - When the noise stops on the Tx and Rx LED and SBS-01A both go green - then you should see the Serial numer on the Tx SYSTEM PAGE - 2nd line P123456789 - Success!  Cycle power on Tx and Rx - go to 2nd page of Telemetry for ALT - 

You can move ALT / VARIO it the front page of the 14SG by inhibiting RPM under LNK LNK (LINKAGE) SENSOR - then inhibit RPM and TEMP sensors.
