Product Description

FrSky's L9R receiver has 12 available channels (9 via normal PWM outputs or 12 channels on Sbus output) plus Rssi for OSD - Stock in Australia

LONG RANGE flying ? L9R features 2 - 3 times the range of FrSky's telemetry receivers like X8R. The L9R uses an advanced filtering design to maximise the signal from a stock FrSky Taranis or FrSky XJT module. 

FrSky L9R is not a telemetry receiver. When flying at these ranges, you will need OSD or 433 datalink  - generally people use OSD On Screen Data (OSD) video system for your telemetry needs as included with PARIS v5r3 .  the L9R outputs  RSSI levels to your OSD. RSSI output = analog voltage (0~3.3V)

FrSky notes these PCB antennas are essential to the L9R - NOT optional.   Set your Antenna PCB's at 90° apart in the Foam Wing  45°/45° - well away from other devices like FPV Cam/Tx or ESC - at least 100mm away from anything else  ; for max 1.5->6km range we recommend place them 200mm clear of other electronics - always fly LOS :) at <400' ; note not intended for Carbon Fuse as Carbon blocks/reflects 2.4 signals

Question - How do i add servos or my pan/tilt gimbal to Ch9-12? Answer = connect an SBus decoder to the SBus port and program the decoder to output Ch 9, Ch 10 , Ch11 and Ch 12.

FAILSAFE : - L9R has a bind protocol that differs from the X series - The failsafe is set to last signal by default, so the user must ensure to set the failsafe to work as preferred. Failsafe cannot be set from the TX, so the manual should be consulted for the correct procedure.

The L9R must be used with the supplied PCB antennas as they are part of a finely tuned system to reach these ranges
