Its well thought out and the button press for manual change of channel is 1 sec - for Scan commence is 2 secs hold - and once locked it holds - even if power cycled.

This receiver is so simple to setup & use just power everything up & hit scan, thats it you have vision. I use this setup with a higher powered TX for when I am in a densely obstructed area (lots of trees) it is a huge improvement reducing dropouts to almost zero. I have notice no vision loss when it switches receivers, which only happens when I turn my Nasa 1969 antenna 5.8Ghz Rx - 12dB Helical 8 turn directional antenna in the wrong direction. Great product well built excellent quality.
