Question - Why is it limited to one lens ? - the gimbal is precisely balanced to one lens weight 24mm ƒ2.8 - it is a very light lens (281grams) - heavier fast lenses are not appropriate for aerial cameras as the cameras ability to move freely in 3 dimensions without restriction is it's true power. When stopped down to ƒ5.6 and using a FULL frame camera like the 5DII to inertial mass is still low enough to get incrediably stable and sharp AERIAL results in the hands of a Pro-drone operator witha smooth ship - all perfectly setup from experience.
Question - I am nervous to fly my 5DMKII/III - I dont want to risk it - Will it be damaged in a crash - how can i reduce rsk? Yes no need to risk a Mk 3 in the air - fly an older MK 2 ! Crashes are related to low experienced pilots - so it comes back to pilot skills, setup and training in advance - The 5D MkII/III have a unique look and if you are shooting all your ground shots with this camera then switch over to a cheaper camera for aerials the film "look" is going to change thereby downgrading your film.
