scarab-knife-270-fpv-case.jpg
the small hardplastic CarbonBird Travel case for the 2014 SCARAB Knife 270mm mini Quad - it allows the Scarab Knife to travel -Ready to Fly with props on - simply be lifted out, FPV antanna screwed in,  and powered up = fly - amazingly it is about 1/3 the size of a Phantom travel case - It has a lockable water and dust resistant design with 2 latches (padlock is not included, use your own padlock) and a PRE-CUT foam inner core (both the lid and the base have separate foam sections.  also as a strong shoulder strap if porting the copter up hills or into remote places/beaches.  The case is weather resistant - (we recommend to always use a silica pouch inside these cases to absorb moisture - dry foam is great but if you close the case in a humid area - the water in the air inside the case needs to be soaked up by a silica pouch.  If travelling in pressured hold loosen the air-seal CCW 1 turn to let the pressure equalise during takeoff->landing, screw it back tight before getting out of the cabin.

Case Weight with foam (empty ie no Scarab inside it yet)  = 1.85 kg

Case Includes

  • 1 x  plastic case 400x290x125mm (outer size) 250x360x80mm inner size- with PRE-CUT KNIFE shape foam BLOCK - (For Scarab Knife 270mm ; Goggles ; 10 x 3S1500 Knife size LiPo batteries 80mm long max (see photo)) - Perfect for in-Cabin Baggage on all airliners provided the LiPo plugs are taped up.  Declare them as "Spare batteries Lithium"
  • 1 x removeable shoulder strap 1400mm-700mm adjustable band

Requires/Excludes

  • Excludes a padlock if required
  • Excludes Scarab Knife 270mm mini Quad - sold HERE
  • Excludes RC radio and ground station - shown in photos for size comparison
  • Excludes batteries
  • Excludes Silica pouch for moisture

Note for holiday travel flying - When flying to other countries on airlines we carry the Knife box "as shown" here below - in the cabin - declaring DG Spare Batteries/Lithium at check in - the terminals are all taped with electrical tape - Most airlines permit <100Wh LiPos (many) and then 2*100->150Wh - so a Knife battery is only 17.1Wh each.   :)

Shipping - the Volumetric weight is 3.59kg (couriers calculate weight based on weight or volume which ever is greater) - so this ITEM will not be included in Free shipping if selected - the Shipping dept will send you an adjustment for 3.5kg for your area after purchase. Where complete Knife Kits are involved the Shipping Dept will try to reduce the volumetric as much as possible to reduce costs.

  1. If you have a Knife you NEED this

Posted by Martin Ward on 22nd Jul 2015

I'm so pleased I purchased this case for my Knife Air Red. It enables me to 'throw' my Knife into the back of my ute with my tools etc and when I have the opportunity to have a quick fly it's all there ready, safe. Just grab my case, pull out the Knife, plug in a battery and I'm away. Makes a great solid base for taking off too. Strong as you like - mine has spent a heap of time bumping around in the back of the ute and my Knife comes out exactly the same as it went in. Really light, probably survive a direct hit from a bomb - perfect for drone at work downtime

  3. Light weight and well made!

I was very happy with the quality of the case. It is light weight and very well made. Comes with a shoulder strap. The cut outs are perfect and it fits a lot of batteries. Very pleased!
